Planning permission is an essential requirement of any alterations to your house. You can engage the services of an architect or architectural services firm to guide you through the procedure of securing planning permission for your home alteration. Architects are familiar with submitting planning applications, and will have a good knowledge of the requirements and limitations both nationally and in your local area. The requirements for planning permission do change among local authorities, and they will take into account things like the design of the properties in the area, parking requirements, and the needs of neighbouring properties, among other aspects. Furthermore, planning permission requirements tend to be more stringent in conservation areas or if your property is a listed building.

Architects can help with every aspect of your planning application, from creating technical and architectural drawings to submitting paperwork with your local authority. They are able to also ensure that your proposed work is designed to a high standard, creating usable and beautiful spaces that will complement your current property. Although some alterations to your property are allowed by permitted development rights and as a consequence won’t require planning permission, you’ll still need to abide by building regulations. Hiring an architect to draw up the plans for your alteration will make sure that any work you undertake will adhere to these regulations and be of a high standard.

Beaconsfield is a market town and civil parish within the South Buckingham district of Buckinghamshire, situated 23.6 miles (38 km) north west of London and 17 miles (27 km) south east of the county’s administrative town, Aylesbury. Four towns are within five miles of Beaconsfield: Slough, Amersham, Gerrards Cross and High Wycombe. It covers an area of 7.59 square miles. Based on the 2011 Census, the town boasts a resident population of around 12,000 individuals. The parish church at the crossroads of Old Beaconsfield is dedicated to St. Mary, and it was rebuilt of flint and bath stone by the Victorians in 1869. The United Reformed Church in Beaconsfield can trace its roots of non-conformist worship in the town back to 1704. Old Beaconsfield features a number of old coaching inns set along a wide street of red brick homes and small shops. It was the first coach stopping point on the road between London and Oxford. An annual fair is traditionally held on 10th May. Its charter, dating from 1269, initially allowed for a yearly market for the trading of goods and livestock, but it has now transformed into a funfair, held for 1 day only. In recent times, some residents have opposed the fair as a hindrance to the Old Town, and have made calls for the 735 year-old fair to be stopped. The town neighbours the Chiltern Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and has a large area of Georgian, neo-Georgian and Tudor revival high street architecture, known as the Old Town. It is famed for the first model village in the world and, in education, a direction and technical production institute, the National Film and Television School. For all of your house improvements, be sure that you use reputable specialists in Beaconsfield to ensure that you get the top quality service.
