A structural inspection is usually only completed when a structural defect or issue is identified or suspected. Normally as part of the procedure of a Home Buyer’s Survey if any structural problems are suspected they’ll be noted for further investigation by a skilled structural engineer, who’ll be able to identify the specific problem and advise on the practical options to correct.
