A structural inspection is often only carried out when a structural defect or issue is recognised or suspected. Typically during the procedure of a Home Buyer’s Survey if any structural problems are suspected they will be documented for additional investigation by an expert structural engineer, who will be able to determine the specific problem and advise on the possible approaches to rectify.
