A structural inspection is typically only carried out when a structural defect or problem is recognised or suspected. Typically as part of the process of a Home Buyer’s Survey if any structural problems are suspected they’ll be documented for further investigation by a skilled structural engineer, who will be able to identify the precise problem and advise on the practical solutions to fix.
