A structural inspection is often only undertaken when a structural defect or problem is recognised or suspected. Usually as part of the process of a Home Buyer’s Survey if any structural problems are suspected they’ll be noted for further investigation by a specialist structural engineer, who’ll be able to recognise the specific problem and suggest the possible techniques to rectify.
