A structural inspection is typically only carried out when a structural defect or issue is identified or suspected. Generally as part of the process of a Home Buyer’s Survey if any structural problems are suspected they will be documented for additional investigation by a skilled structural engineer, who will be able to recognise the precise problem and recommend the possible approaches to correct.
