Technical drawings are created for a range of different products, and you may come across technical drawings at a range of stages through any building work you carry out. Usually, technical drawings are created by an architect or structural engineer when planning a conversion or extension. These technical drawings are generally produced for the construction contractor, and will feature specifications for the types of materials used for specific elements of the build as well as the techniques of construction to be performed. Technical drawings also provide measurements for a variety of aspects of the building, like roof heights and floor plans.

Technical drawings can also be produced for many of the discrete elements which may be bought as part of the project, for example doors and windows. Manufacturers will produce technical drawings for their products to ensure they can be integrated as easily as possible into building designs. Technical drawings will also typically have to be submitted to local authorities to receive approval that the planned work conforms to building regulations.

Broadstone is a town and suburb of Poole in Dorset, England. It is located about 3 miles (4.8 km) from Hamworthy railway station and 7 miles (11 km) from Bournemouth International Airport. Since 1840, it has expanded from a little farm to a suburb. In 1840, ‘Broadstone Farm’ was created, and a railway line bypassed it in 1847. Its 1st church was opened in 1853, which later became the Scout hall. The first railway station was constructed in 1872 and named ‘New Poole Junction’ and, after several name revisions, became “Broadstone” in 1890. Broadstone First School was traditionally a Dame school, established in 1871. At the beginning of the twentieth century, lavender oil started being developed in Broadstone. This stopped in 1935 when the factory burnt down, but much lavender can nevertheless be seen around the area. Much growth of the town has been undertaken, especially with the establishment of the Pine Springs housing estate as well as the building of more schools to cope with the growth in population. According to the 2011 Census, the town boasts a population of 10,303, which has risen slightly from the roughly 10,256 people recorded during the 2001 Census. Centred on the main road (the B3074), ‘The Broadway’ is a bustling hub of shops, churches, schools and housing. The shops include both local and national chain retailers, and also cafes and restaurants. Broadstone is notable for its significant recreation fields and heathland park, plus an annual Christmas parade and lights. The 24 acres that Broadstone Heath possesses are some of the traditional heathland which covered the Poole Basin. For all your home improvements, make sure that you pick trusted specialists in Broadstone to ensure that you get the very best quality service.
