Architectural drawings are utilised for many purposes, and come in numerous diverse types depending on your preferences. For some extensions or loft conversions at least some type of architectural drawing will be required, either to submit to councils or local authorities for planning permission or building regulations approval, or for use by building contractors to properly perform the building works.

Floor plans, site plans and elevation drawings will typically need to be created to submit to local authorities to either obtain planning permission or to confirm that the proposed work is completed under permitted development rights. These drawings will show the scale of the planned works, and provide the planning officer a sense of how the work may interact with the nearby area. For construction requirements as well as for building regulations approval, technical drawings are usually produced which detail the types of materials employed in the building work on a structural and insulation level.

Amersham is a market town and civil parish in the Chiltern district in the English county of Buckinghamshire. It is situated within the Chiltern Hills, 27 miles northwest of London, 15 miles from Aylesbury and 13 miles from High Wycombe. It forms part of the London commuter belt because of its proximity to London. There’s a chalk stream that runs by way of the town, although it often is dried up all through the year. The river is in a large valley that’s larger than is feasible for the River Misbourne to reduce, meaning that it’s a misfit stream. The origins of the town can be dated back to a time before the Anglo-Saxon period, and it’s referenced within the Domesday Book of 1086. In 1200, the Earl of Essex was granted a charter for Amersham, which permitted for the hosting of a market on Fridays as well as a fair in September. A different charter, obtained in 1613, changed the market day to Tuesday and it established a statute fair on 19th September. Until the coming of the Metropolitan Railway in 1892, the area of the town currently known as Amersham on the Hill was known as Amersham Common. From this date, the town began expanding. There are several parks open to the public for sporting and outdoor recreation. The town is also home to Amersham Town F.C., who play at Spratley’s Meadow in Old Amersham. Amersham posesses a Grade II listed building, ‘High and Over House’, which was designed with an art deco style by the architect Amyas Connell in 1931.
