Technical drawings are created for a number of different products, and you will probably come across technical drawings at various stages through any building work you perform. Typically, technical drawings are generated by an architect or structural engineer when planning a conversion or extension. These technical drawings are usually produced for the construction contractor, and will include specifications for the types of material utilised for specific components of the build as well as the methods of construction to be carried out. Technical drawings also contain proportions for a variety of elements of the building, like roof heights and floor plans.

Technical drawings can also be produced for many of the discrete elements which may be bought as part of the project, for example windows and doors. Manufacturers will produce technical drawings for their products to guarantee they can be incorporated as easily as possible into building designs. Technical drawings will also commonly have to be submitted to local authorities to receive approval that the planned work conforms to building regulations.

Amersham is a market town and civil parish within the Chiltern district within the English county of Buckinghamshire. It’s situated in the Chiltern Hills, 27 miles northwest of London, 15 miles from Aylesbury and 13 miles from High Wycombe. It forms an integral part of the London commuter belt as a result of its closeness to London. There’s a chalk stream that runs through the town, although it often dries up all through the year. The river is in a large valley that is definitely bigger than is possible for the River Misbourne to reduce, which means that it is actually a misfit stream. The origins of the town could be dated back to a time prior to the Anglo-Saxon period, and it is referred to inside the Domesday Book of 1086. In 1200, the Earl of Essex was granted a charter for Amersham, which allowed for the hosting of a market on Fridays plus a fair in September. Yet another charter, obtained in 1613, changed the market day to Tuesday and it established a statute fair on 19th September. Up until the creation of the Metropolitan Railway in 1892, the part of the town currently referred to as Amersham on the Hill was known as Amersham Common. From this date, the town began to expand. There are numerous parks open to members of the public for sporting and outdoor activities. The town is also home to Amersham Town F.C., who play football at Spratley’s Meadow in Old Amersham. Amersham has a Grade II listed building, ‘High and Over House’, which was created with an art deco style by the architect Amyas Connell in 1931.
