Planning permission is an important aspect of any extensions to your house. You can engage the services of an architect or architectural services company to assist you through the process of acquiring planning permission for your home alteration. Architects are familiar with submitting planning applications, and will have a good knowledge of the requirements and limits both nationally and in your local area. The requirements for planning permission do differ among local authorities, and they’ll take into consideration things like the style of the properties in the area, car parking requirements, and the needs of neighbouring properties, among other aspects. Furthermore, planning permission requirements are more strict in conservation areas or if your home is a listed building.

Architects can help with every aspect of your planning application, from creating technical and architectural drawings to filing paperwork with your local authority. They can also ensure that your proposed work is designed to a high standard, creating practical and beautiful spaces that will suit your current property. Although some alterations to your property are covered by permitted development rights and therefore won’t require planning permission, you’ll still need to adhere to building regulations. Hiring an architect to draw up the plans for your extension will ensure that any work you undertake will conform to these regulations and be of a high standard.

The town of Banbridge is in Northern Ireland’s County Down. It’s located on the River Bann and a dual carriageway, with its name coming from a bridge that was constructed to cross the River Bann in 1712. It is included in the civil parish of Seapatrick plus the historic barony of Iveagh Upper, Upper Half. Banbridge is presently the administrative centre for the Banbridge District Council. With reference to the 2011 Census, the town has a resident population of around 16653. It’s classed as a medium town and within the population, 24.4 percent were under 16 years old, 16.1% were more than 60 years of age, and 49.5 percent were male, leaving 50.5 percent as female. The town emerged as a coach stop on the road between Belfast and Dublin, and it prospered in the production of Irish linen. A striking area of the town is its recognisable main street, which rises to a steep hill before levelling out. An underpass had to be constructed in 1834 because of the demanding street causing horses carrying heavy loads to faint before they could get to the top of the hill. Constructed by William Dargan, it is officially called the Downshire Bridge, though it’s often known as ‘The Cut’. The town is extensively recognized for being near to the Bronte Homeland in Rathfriland, attracting a lot of visitors because of this. An additional attraction is the annual busking festival, ‘Buskfest’, which has been running since 2004. Participants have frequently travelled long distances to perform, as well as the competition ends with an evening concert consisting of performances by world-famous artists. For all of your property improvement tasks, make sure that you work with vetted specialists in Banbridge to make sure you get the very best quality service.
