A structural inspection is generally only completed when a structural defect or problem is recognised or suspected. Generally during the process of a Home Buyer’s Survey if any structural problems are suspected they’ll be noted for additional investigation by an expert structural engineer, who will be able to recognise the precise problem and suggest the practical options to put right.
