A structural inspection is usually only carried out when a structural defect or issue is discovered or suspected. Usually during the procedure of a Home Buyer’s Survey if any structural problems are suspected they’ll be noted for additional investigation by a skilled structural engineer, who will be able to determine the specific problem and recommend the likely approaches to rectify.
