A structural inspection is usually only carried out when a structural defect or problem is recognised or suspected. Often as part of the procedure of a Home Buyer’s Survey if any structural problems are suspected they will be noted for additional investigation by a skilled structural engineer, who will be able to identify the specific problem and recommend the possible techniques to fix.
