Get Planning Permission quotes today!

Planning permission is an important aspect of any changes to your home. You can engage the services of an architect or architectural services company to guide you through the process of acquiring planning permission for your home extension. Architects are experienced with submitting planning applications, and will have a good knowledge of the requirements and limitations both country wide and in your local area. The majority of planning permission applications are granted, especially if you can establish that your building work is sympathetic to the conditions outlined by local authority policy.
Architects can help with every aspect of your planning application, from generating technical and architectural drawings to filing paperwork with the local authority. They are able to also make sure that your planned work is designed to a high standard, creating functional and beautiful spaces that will suit your current property. While some alterations to your home are included in permitted development rights and therefore won’t need planning permission, you’ll still need to abide by building regulations. Hiring an architect to draft the plans for your alteration will guarantee that any work you undertake will conform to these regulations and be of a high standard.

Abergele is a community and small market town. The meaning of the name Abergele may be understood by ‘Aber’ which is the Welsh word for estuary, and ‘Gele’, the name of the river which runs through the town. Gele is a dialectal form of gelau, which means spear, and is believed to be describing the action of the river cutting through the land. It has also been suggested that this river is named because its waters flash brightly. It’s situated on the north coast of Wales in between the vacation resorts of Colwyn Bay and Rhyl, in Conwy County Borough. Its northern suburb of Pensarn lies on the Irish Sea coast and is recognised for its beach, where it’s claimed by some that a ghost ship has been sighted.
Abergele and Pensarn railway station serve both resorts. The town itself lies on the A55 road and is known for Gwrych Castle. The town is surrounded by woodland covered hillsides, which contain caves home to the rare lesser horseshoe bat. The highest hill is Moelfre Isaf (1040 ft) to the south of the town. You will also find outstanding views from Cefn-yr-Ogof, which measures 669 feet, Tower Hill, which is 587 feet, and Castell Cawr (identified locally as Tan-y-Gopa) which is 620 feet. Castell Cawr is an Iron Age hillfort, and one of several in the area.
Dinorben hillfort to the east of town was destroyed in the 1980s. In accordance with the 2011 Census, the town has a permanent population of around 10577 people. Within this population, roughly 29 per cent have a significant understanding of Welsh.
