Planning permission is an important aspect of any changes to your home. You can engage the services of an architect or architectural services firm to direct you through the process of obtaining planning permission for your home extension. Architects are familiar with submitting planning applications, and will have a good understanding of the requirements and limitations both country wide and in your local area. The majority of planning permission applications are granted, especially if you can establish that your building work is sympathetic to the conditions outlined by local authority policy.
Architects can help with every aspect of your planning application, from producing technical and architectural drawings to submitting paperwork with your local authority. They can also make sure that your proposed work is designed to a high standard, creating practical and beautiful spaces that will complement your current property. While some alterations to your property are included in permitted development rights and therefore won’t need planning permission, you’ll still need to conform to building regulations. Hiring an architect to draft the plans for your extension will make sure that any work you undertake will conform to these regulations and be of a high standard.

Brackley is a town in south Northamptonshire. It is approximately 19 miles (31 kilometres) from Oxford and 22 miles (35 kilometres) from Northampton. Traditionally a market town primarily based on the wool and lace trade, it was built around the intersecting trade routes between London, Birmingham and the English Midlands and between Cambridge and Oxford. Brackley has a population of roughly 13,018 (2011 Census) which has increased significantly from 2,467 in 1901. The town was the site of a historically significant meeting among the barons and representatives of the King in 1215, the year of the Magna Carta. In 1602, the metaphysical poet John Donne was elected as MP for the Brackley constituency. Brackley is close to the Silverstone circuit, and has some industry associated with Formula One racing, particularly the Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 Team which is based within the town, and also the Force India F1 team which has a wind tunnel on the old site of the town’s north railway station. On the east outskirts of the town is H. Bronnley & Co., producers of hand-made soaps who hold Royal Warrants of Appointment for supplying Queen Elizabeth II and the Prince of Wales. The Brackley Morris Men are 1 of only seven ‘traditional Cotswold’ Morris dancing sides remaining in England and the only one still running in Northamptonshire. Their history dates back to the 1600s when a solid silver communion plate was given to the parish. The plate which is still in the possession of St Peters Church is dated 1623, and is inscribed with the names of seven men, whom local folklore believes to have been the morris dancers. Brackley provides football, rugby and tennis clubs. For all your property improvement work, be certain that you work with reliable experts in Brackley to ensure you get the very best quality service.
