Surveying comes in various forms. Most homeowners will come across a Home Buyer’s Survey as part of the process of buying or selling a house. The Home Buyer’s Survey is completed to ensure the home buyer is totally conscious of the condition of the house they are buying, along with any potential problems around insulation, damp proofing or drainage. For older properties or for buildings where the buyer is less assured of its condition, a full building survey can be undertaken, which goes into more detail when compared to a Home Buyer’s Survey, and will highlight any additional issues with the property as well as including an evaluation of the land surrounding the building.

Other types of survey include a land survey, which will involve an examination of the condition of the land. Surveyors can also carry out snagging reports, which are undertaken after a new build is finalised to point out any problems or defects with the quality of the property which may then be rectified.

When looking for a company to attempt surveying work, make sure you choose a chartered surveyor qualified by the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors.

Brackley is a town within south Northamptonshire. It is approximately 19 miles (31 km) from Oxford and 22 miles (35 kilometres) from Northampton. Historically a market town based on the wool and lace trade, it was founded around the intersection of trade routes between London, Birmingham and the English Midlands and between Cambridge and Oxford. Brackley has a population of around 13,018 (2011 Census) which has increased significantly from 2,467 in 1901. The town was the location of an important meeting between the barons and representatives of the King in 1215, the year of the Magna Carta. In 1602, the metaphysical poet John Donne was elected as MP for the Brackley constituency. Brackley is close to the Silverstone motor racing circuit, and boasts some industry associated with Formula One racing, notably the Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 Team which is based within the town, plus the Force India F1 team which uses a wind tunnel on the old site of the north railway station. On the east outskirts of the town is H. Bronnley & Co., manufacturers of hand-made soaps who hold Royal Warrants of Appointment for supplying Queen Elizabeth II and the Prince of Wales. The Brackley Morris Men are 1 of only seven ‘traditional Cotswold’ Morris dancing sides remaining in England and the only 1 to survive in Northamptonshire. Their history goes back to the 1600s when a solid silver communion plate was given to the parish. The plate that is still in the possession of St Peters Church is dated 1623, and is inscribed with the names of seven men, whom local folklore believes to have been the morris dancers. Brackley boasts football, rugby and tennis clubs. For all of your house upgrades, be sure that you utilise vetted professionals in Brackley to ensure that you get the top quality service.
