Surveying comes in numerous forms. Most homeowners will encounter a Home Buyer’s Survey as part of the procedure of buying or selling a property. The Home Buyer’s Survey is completed to guarantee the home buyer is fully aware of the condition of the house they are buying, coupled with any likely concerns around insulation, damp proofing or drainage. For older buildings or for properties where the buyer is less confident of its condition, a full building survey can be carried out, which goes into more detail than a Home Buyer’s Survey, and will identify any additional problems with the house as well as including an assessment of the land surrounding the building.

Surveyors can also help with any extensions, conversions or alterations that you would like to have done on your existing property. They will offer advice about how your conversion could have an impact on your neighbours, either in terms of their right to light or by requiring a party wall agreement.

When looking for a company to undertake surveying work, make sure you choose a chartered surveyor qualified by the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors.

Catterick Garrison is a major garrison and town located 3 miles south of Richmond in the Richmondshire district of North Yorkshire, England. The town lies in the Central Richmondshire electoral division of North Yorkshire County Council and divided amongst the Hipswell and Scotton wards of Richmondshire District Council. The town is divided among two civil parishes. The southern part of the town, south of a little stream called Leadmill Gill, is in the civil parish of Scotton. The northern part forms the greater part of the civil parish of Hipswell. Each parish has its personal parish council. It’s the biggest British Army garrison in the world, having a population of about 13000 and measuring over 2400 acres. The original intention for Catterick was to become a short-term camp to accommodate two complete divisions with about 40000 men in 2000 huts. However, under plans announced by the Ministry of Defence (MoD) in November 2005, the population of Catterick Garrison is anticipated to grow to over 25000 by 2020, making it the biggest population centre inside the local area. Lacking a real town centre, the Garrison gained its initial significant supermarket in 2000, as well as a retail park referred to as ‘Richmondshire Walk’, which also contains a McDonalds, a Poundstretcher along with a Peacocks, amongst other shops. ‘Catterick Leisure Centre’ is a purpose built complex opposite the retail park, opened in July 2009, and it delivers a broad spectrum of leisure and fitness facilities such as a swimming pool, and a gym, along with an adjoining public library. For all your property upgrades, make sure that you use trustworthy experts in Catterick Garrison to ensure that you get the best quality.
