Surveying can come in a variety of forms. A majority of homeowners will encounter a Home Buyer’s Survey as part of the process of buying or selling a house. The Home Buyer’s Survey is undertaken to make certain that the home buyer is fully conscious of the condition of the house they are buying, alongside any probable issues around insulation, damp proofing or drainage. For older buildings or for properties where the buyer is less confident of its condition, a full building survey can be performed, which goes into more detail when compared to a Home Buyer’s Survey, and will point out any further defects with the property as well as including an inspection of the land surrounding the building.

Surveyors can also assist with any extensions, conversions or alterations that you intend to have done on your current property. They will offer advice about how your conversion might have an effect on your neighbours, either in terms of their right to light or by needing a party wall agreement.

When searching for a company to attempt surveying work, ensure you choose a chartered surveyor qualified by the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors.

The London Borough of Harrow is a London borough of north-west London, England. It borders Hertfordshire towards the north and also other London boroughs, like Hillingdon towards the west, Ealing to the south, Brent to the south-east and Barnet to the east. The local authority is Harrow London Borough Council.

Harrow Urban District was formed in 1934 as an urban district of Middlesex by the Middlesex Review Order 1934, as a merger of the former area of Harrow on the Hill Urban District, Hendon Rural District and Wealdstone Urban District. The urban district gained the status of municipal borough on 4th May 1954 and the urban district council became Harrow Borough Council. The 50th anniversary of the incorporation as a borough was celebrated in April 2004, which included a visit by Queen Elizabeth II. In 1965, the municipal borough was abolished and its former area was transferred to Greater London from Middlesex under the London Government Act 1963 to form the London Borough of Harrow. It’s uniquely the only London borough to replicate precisely the unchanged boundaries of a single former district. This was possibly because its population was big adequate. The borough covers an overall area of 19.49 square miles.

As outlined by population estimates from the middle of 2014, it has a permanent population of about 246011 inhabitants. Its site on and near the greenbelt and convenience to central London makes Harrow a good place to reside not merely for families but affluent singles too. Rising house rates in all London places have helped to see a big rise in property redevelopment of its existing Edwardian and 1920s to 1940s housing.
